Why can’t my iPhone take a picture of a frying egg?
I found a little cardboard and foil box that fit my Arduino perfectly. I cut a little space for the USB cable to plug in and mounted it onto the fuzzy plastic stand inside with a couple of nuts and bolts.
I just fixed my lovely wife’s bike. The Lycra that covered her seat had turned to dust, as had the tire sidewalls. The rear tube need replacing, the chain needed lubing, and most other things needed general tuning.

This is what a Pleo dinosaur pet robot looks like without its hide. As is often the case, I find these toys more compelling looking when skinned.
My sister Silvia and her husband Eddie had an espresso machine on the fritz. They were even reduced to using a stovetop Bialetti for a while (no offense moka lovers!). Like the true do-it-yourselfers that they are, they pulled it apart, found a corroded circuit board, and replaced it. Click the link for the full story.

I’m reviewing the kit version of this fun little synthesizer for an upcoming issue of Make. Until I get that one soldered together, I’m enjoying creating all sorts of fun sounds with this one. I’ve been running around the office showing it to everyone, and I think at least three people are planning to buy their own.
