I’m building a lighting effect for my friend Mike’s costume. There are four 12V LED strips driven by a BlinkM MaxM. With the BlinkM, I can write a small program for how the lights fade and flicker. I’ll post an in-depth write-up later, but for now I just wanted to share this slightly odd photo.
Welcome
Hello. I'm John Park, this is my blog. I write about things that interest me related to building contraptions, coffee, bicycles, CG animation, and more. I work at DisneyToon Studios as a character rigger. I'm also a writer for Make: magazine and the host of the Make: television show on Public Television. Along with Brian Jepson and Tod Kurt, I've started a company called WingShield Industries to design and build electronic and mechanical hardware hacking/prototyping kits. My other company is Magnolia Atomworks LLC, which I started to pursue product design, including the Mystery Box kit.Site search

I assume by “odd” you mean “who in their right mind eats chips out of the bottom of the bag”?
Yes! Exactly!! But apparently that’s the top of the bag and they printed the label upside down. It would have been worth $10,000 at auction, at least, if only he hadn’t opened it!
Hah, totally trumped you on this one! The color mix and intensity of mine’s controlled by an accelerometer in the sleeve. Wore it to Mindshare a couple of weeks ago.
